I made healthy-ish Rice Krispie Bites!! 💙 I was at the store the other day and I came across a box of Rice Krispie treats and was so excited! They’re one of those foods that I had when I was a kid but haven’t had in YEARS! So I decided to make my own, adult (healthy-ish) version that I could enjoy 😊
Ingredients:
2 cups marshmallows
2 cups multi grain Cheerios
1/8 cup melted coconut oil
1/4 cup crushed walnuts
2 tsp chia seeds
1 pinch salt
Recipe:
1. Melt coconut oil and marshmallows (I did it in the microwave but some people use the stovetop, either works)
2. Mix coconut oil and marshmallows until thoroughly combined
3. Fold in Cheerios, walnuts, chia seeds and salt
4. Place in greased dish and shape to the form you would like (I did a square so it was easy to slice)
5. Let cool/harden. I placed in the freezer because i am impatient, but any cool dry place will do
6. Slice and enjoy!
